For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. (Romans 1:20)
People are without excuse. That may not be something we want to hear, but it is truth and we cannot deny it. All God has made, even mankind, speaks of his power, purpose, and love. From the mountains to the valleys; octopus to mouse; flowers to fruit; rocks to sand - all bespeak his greatness and goodness. We never have to look further than right in front of us to see evidence of God.

What happens when a man says there is no God? In actuality, he cannot say that because he sets himself up as a 'god' of sorts, making himself the center of his world and the 'ruler' of it to boot. He is still without excuse for his error in judgment! Man has tried to 'replace' God since the beginning of time with something they 'imagine' is God, but all they do is create little gods all around them. Things, people, and 'creations' become their 'god'.
We have always been people who make excuses for the things that didn't go the way we wanted them to go, but it doesn't negate the fact that we deny the reality of God's existence, his supreme right to rule his creation, and our definite need for a Savior to make right our sin nature. We might try to deny God his right to rule our hearts, but it doesn't mean he won't keep displaying his love and power around us in all we can behold.
The lost have only look up to see the stars and the direction of the sun each day. They can navigate by either. God made a way for our 'physical' navigation from one point to another. He also made a 'divine' way for us to find our way out of sin and into his right standing. That way is Christ Jesus. All men should see and believe. Just saying!
